Forge Industrial Staffing Supports Fight Against MS at WalkMS 2024 in South Bend
South Bend, IN – May 11, 2024 – Forge Industrial Staffing’s teams from the Elkhart and South Bend offices came together to volunteer at this year’s WalkMS event, held at Indiana University South Bend. Their involvement included setting up, supporting participants throughout the event, and teardown, contributing significantly to the success of this important initiative.
WalkMS 2024 introduced a new experience highlighting how support from the community impacts the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and furthers the pursuit of a cure. This event, which brought together 227 participants across 37 teams, raised an impressive $16,211 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The funds are dedicated to advancing research and providing support to the MS community.
This year’s WalkMS featured the Circles of Support program, a new interactive element that allows participants to identify and display their connection to the MS cause. Orange circles represented those living with MS, green circles symbolized the friends, family, and caregivers who support loved ones with MS, and yellow circles were worn by those supporting the Society’s mission.
William Santiago, Regional Director at Forge, shared his thoughts on the event: “It’s incredibly moving to see our team so engaged in supporting such a powerful cause. Events like WalkMS not only bring us together as a community but also remind us of the crucial role we play in making a difference in the lives of others. We are proud to stand with the MS community and contribute to this fight.”
