Machine Operator

Responsibilities of Machine Operators depend on the client and their needs, but most Operator positions include operating machines according to operating procedures and ensuring proper machine start up and shut down procedures are performed. Machine Operators may also be responsible for assembling parts according to quality standards, performing visual inspection of all parts, packaging parts, and labeling packaged according to customer or internal requirements. Machine Operators will also assist shift leaders with machine changeovers. It’s important that Machine Operators clean and maintain their workstations.

Just like the responsibilities of Machine Operators, the requirements also vary depending on the client’s needs for a specific employee. For most Machine Operator positions you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, wear PPE and adhere to all safety rules. Previous experience in the industry is preferred, but not required. You will find that many of our clients are willing to train people for certain positions, like this one. It’s important that all our Forge Industrial Staffing employees perform their jobs safely while adhering to company safety standards.

The compensation for Machine Operator positions varies depending on the client, but the benefits offered by Forge are the same for each job and employee. In order to become eligible for insurance, you must work an average of 30 hours per week for a 60-day time frame. Once you meet those requirements you will become eligible for insurance and your coverage will start on the 1st day of the month following your 60th day of employment. The other benefits of working through Forge include: paid holidays, vacation pay, health insurance, referral bonus program, employee of month and employee appreciation days. Paydays are weekly and you will have the option of getting paid by direct deposit or Rapid paycard, having access to your money that same day.
