Holland, MI – Demonstrating our commitment to community and corporate social responsibility, Forge Industrial Staffing proudly participated in the March for Babies event in Holland, MI, hosted by the March of Dimes. This significant event, which took place this past Saturday, April 14, 2012, saw the Forge team among hundreds of participants rallying for a noble cause – to support expectant mothers and newborns in embarking on healthy lives.
The March for Babies is a cornerstone event for the March of Dimes, a Virginia-based nonprofit organization with a long history of advocating for the health of mothers and babies. Initially founded in 1938 by Franklin D. Roosevelt to combat polio, the organization has since shifted its focus towards preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality through research, education, and advocacy.
The March for Babies event in Holland was a resounding success, raising a record-breaking $73,000. These funds are earmarked for critical initiatives, including research grants, prenatal wellness programs, advocacy efforts, and support for newborn intensive care units. The March for Babies is held in 900 communities across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, uniting thousands of individuals and organizations in the fight for the health of all moms and babies.
William Santiago, Regional Director at Forge, expressed his pride in the company’s involvement: “Participating in the March for Babies was an incredibly rewarding experience for our team. It’s an honor to support the March of Dimes and their vital work. This event highlights the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together for a common purpose.”
Forge Industrial Staffing‘s participation in the March for Babies underscores the company’s dedication to contributing to meaningful causes and supporting the health and well-being of families in their communities.
